"Big players make big plays, because they aren't afraid and have already but the hard work in place before the moment of truth"

“ If what you have done yesterday still looks big to you, you haven't done much today. ”

" To keep the heart unwrinkled, to be hopeful, kindly, cheerful, reverent- that is to triumph over old age."

Humor... “ Good humor is a tonic for mind and body. It is the best antidote for anxiety and depression. It is a business asset. It attracts and keeps friends. It lightens human burdens. It is the direct route to serenity and contentment. ” ― Grenville Kleiser

Regardless your color, creed, or religion,  I have love for all human beings.

Whatever dream your trying to accomplish will not happen sitting on your ass!

"Before success comes in any man's life, he's sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps some failures.

When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That's exactly what the majority of men will do."

"Just because Fate doesn't deal you the right cards, it doesn't mean you should give up. It just means you have to play the cards you get to their maximum potential."

"People criticize what you do and then try to do the same exact thing."

"We should not look back unless it is to derive useful lessons from past errors, and for the purpose of profiting by dearly bought experience"

The other day when I wasn't feeling so up beat, I ran into a person I hadn't seen in a while. We spoke to each other caught up on somethings and looked at each other like, "wow", look what we have been through! He is a engineer and is currently unemployed, no jail record, no bad history, no bad credit. We've been knowing each other a while, and I told him what I was doing and all the ups and downs that come with the multiple things that I do. We were talking about in college how we use to go to a fast food joint and have a total of $5.00 bucks between the both of us and some how still come out with a full stomach! We talked about going on double dates and all the fun we use to have. After we spoke awhile and laughed and joked it seemed that whatever we were going through at the moment meant nothing! We both realized that where we came from and where we are right now are miles away! Don't let a simple bump in the road stray you from your path, just pick up the building blocks and keep moving! Sky is the limit and you can always make something from nothing if you keep a positive attitude, no matter how hard it may seem! Trust me it's easier sad than done, but it can happen!

What a day! I've been working out all day trying to get ready for my show on June 24 in Houston, Texas. I've also been working on my website and my new movie "Squatters" and some new music. Trust me when I say I'm exhausted! So tonight I get a text while I'm still working and it says, "KG balling", I think to myself, "Oh he must be talking about the Boston Celtic Basketball Game against the Miami Heat". I decide to take a break from work, to check out the game, keep in mind, after the Los Angeles Lakers lose in my mind Basketball season is over, I've just been like that since I was a kid. I turn the tube on and see the score of Boston winning against the Heat and think to myself, "Wow", what happened! After the game I hear Kevin Garnett doing an interview and the reporter asked him a question about his nay sayers and I heard him answer, "I work on my craft everyday, I perfected my craft". I thought to myself, he is right, no matter what stage you are at in life, you must perfect your craft, you must put the time and effort into being good or great at something. People think that since these guys have "gifts" from God that they don't have to work hard. That isn't the truth at all, we all have gifts and you must work on those gifts and perfect those gifts. Perfect your craft, put the time in, when you can to become great, if you are striving to be great at something you must perfect your craft!

I ran into a situation the other day where a person I've known for a while ask me a simple question, "How have you been doing?"  I replied with a different answer than most days, most of the time I say, "Man just trying to make it", and I've said this for years, but on this day, I said, "I'm doing great!"  Take into thought that me and this gentleman speak about once a week in passing and after I answer that question he normally just leaves, but on this day my reaction would spark a whole new conversation. He wanted to speak further with me and ask me, what I was so excited about, did I have something new and exciting going on in my life, did I sign a new record deal or did some big studio call me from Los Angeles and told me get on the first flight to L.A. we need you for a 20 million dollar movie production. The simple answer is none of those things had happen to me, I was just excited because the day before I got to cook food at my house. So I told him, " I cooked some steaks last night at the house and everyone loved them." He was like "wow", I knew it was something because you never tell me your doing great. That made me wonder, was I taking the simple things in life for granted? Over the years I came to realize that maybe I was. My competitive nature, the same "Drive" from within is a great thing, but maybe now I've reached a point in my life where I don't want the same things that every one else wants. Does this mean that I'm "soft" now, "Hell No", I still to this day wouldn't let anybody kick my ass in a game of basketball or any thing else competitive. I hate to lose that will never change. I just feel like sometimes in life you need to learn to appreciate the "little" things because when they are gone they are gone! So my blog for today is just about running your own race, it's okay to compete, it's okay to battle, it's okay to out bid and get that business contract or customer away from the other company, but remember to take care of the customer's that you still have, remember to shake hands with competitive battles you have won, because one day you will not always be on the winning side of everything, but we all want to try to be on the winning side of life, so don't worry about "keeping up with the Jones's", accept what you have, never become too comfortable, and always learn how to "Run Your Own Race", at your own pace!

Too much noise. In this day in age with unlimited access to all sorts of devices and gadgets for information and entertainment at some point how to do block out the noise. It's becoming very difficult for me, so I can only image how difficult it is for and teenager or kid to block out unlimited distractions. The question is these days how do you zone in? How do you become the person you where put here to become? Can you go day to day with out watching t.v. and browsing the net? You could, but you would miss some things. Are those things really important?  Do you read a lot? You should! I feel that in this day and age you should pick your poison and spots. I sometimes hear the question "Are you not entertained", the answer is "Yes", we are entertained, but I feel like people need constant entertainment these days to get through whatever negative situations they are going through in life. So with all that being said, the reason I wrote this blog is to remind people to "Zone In", there is enough room for everyone to create and provide society with your gifts, but you must "Zone In" first, to create the best gift to the world, because if you are constantly being distracted while trying to create your great gift, it will not turn out right! ZONE IN PEOPLE!

Never give up! This is something we go through life hearing, over and over again. In my life, I have been in situations were I have hung around too long and paid the price for it because of my never give up attitude. Never giving up on something you love is a good thing, but sometimes in life you have to move on from things you don't really want to do because you are killing yourself slowly. I understand that responsible people stay in situations in life to take care of others, but always remember if you don't take care of your self first, you really can't give others what they really need when the time comes. People that are givers really understand what I'm talking about, it sounds selfish and it is selfish, but without you taking care of your self, how do you think you can be the best person you can be! Let's work on being the best person we can be and strive for the best!
